The Qatar Media Portal will enable media and broadcasters (non-accredited and FIFA-accredited) to apply for a range of services and permits, including Host Country Accreditation, Entry Permit (Hayya) and Film/Photo Permit through a single-registration form. The Qatar Media Portal enables three groups of media to apply for their respective accreditation / permits, as follows:
Host Country Accreditation
Pertains to non-FIFA Accredited Media looking to obtain Host Country Media Accreditation, an Entry Permit to the State of Qatar and a nationwide Film Permit
Host Country Accreditation grants access to the following sites: Host Country Media Centre, Host Country Broadcast Facilities, FIFA Fan Zones and FIFA Fan Festival
Host Country Accreditation does not permit holders from entering FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM sites
FIFA Accredited
Pertains to FIFA Accredited Media looking to obtain an Entry Permit to the State of Qatar and a nationwide Film Permit
Digital Portal Access Only
Pertains to Media seeking to obtain access to the Qatar Media Portal with no intention of visiting Qatar, and as such, don’t require Accreditation, Entry Permit and/or Film Permit
Successful accredited applicants will also receive a Digital Hayya Card, which is needed to access stadiums with a spectator ticket and enables use of the public transport system, free of charge.
The application process at the Qatar Media Portal has been streamlined to enable non-FIFA Accredited Media applicants and FIFA Accredited Media applicants to complete a single application to generate their desired Host Country Accreditation and/or Permits.
Important Notes:
Media must hold one of the two accreditations only. FIFA Accredited Media must not apply for Host Country Media Accreditation and Media seeking Host Country Media Accreditation must not hold or intend to apply for FIFA Media Accreditation
